Buck - A MUST SEE MOVIE!

We saw it on Friday. It is a documentary about a young boy who had a terrible childhood but grew to be a gentle hero among horses and their people. Buck Brannaman learned early how it felt to live with violence and intimidation. As a young adult he found a role model in Ray Hunt who was an amazing teacher of how to gentle horses into cooperation. One of the parts we found especially helpful was when Buck compared a difficult horse to a bully on the bus who takes kids lunch money. Today, when Amelia was working with her horse she laughed and said: “Jiggs! It’s all about manners …. and you don’t have them!” This gave us focus for the next part of the lesson. You will get a lot of good advice and information from this movie. Buck is an amazing teacher who does clinics all over the world today!
